about

Three Irish Reels. The first, a Donegal tune, I learned from the playing of the fabulous Irish band Altan. It’s one of the more exciting reels I’ve ever learned. The second is just a lovely tune to play on the whistle. Andy McGann’s is for a legendary Irish fiddle player living in the the New York area. I was lucky enough to hear Andy McGann at The Boston College Irish Music Festival. I’m not sure who wrote the tune.
